Oh, well... I have 2 printers and use them all the time, and don't have a car, nor is there a printer nearby since I moved out of the church. The printers use HP high-yield cartridges, and I print only on 100-pct recycled TCF paper. The stuff I print to sell, greeting cards and little books, is all full color throughout. Works for me....

So when you get to the machine, you push a few buttons, maybe type a password and it spits out your print?

Hmmm... Not sure about running out in the elements to pick up a print that I might need right now. I don't see if being widespread.

In a way, this isn't that different from the Kodak print-on-demand photo kiosks where you pop the card from your digital camera into the machine, follow the on-screen prompts to choose which photos you want to print, and then the machine prints them as you wait. Some stores even let you upload photos via their website, which you then go pick up.

Couldn't a similar machine that accepted a USB flash drive work the same way, if it accepted common file formats (PDF, Word, etc)? It seems genius to me. I'd use it, as I haven't owned a printer at home for years. I imagine many others would as well...
